What it is

PRP takes the growth factors concentrated in your own platelets and delivers them directly to the scalp, where they support follicles that are miniaturising — getting finer and shorter — but have not yet died.

That distinction matters enormously. PRP can thicken and revive struggling follicles. It cannot regrow hair where the follicle is gone. Which is why timing determines the outcome more than anything else we do.

If you are noticing more scalp than you used to, that is the moment. If an area has been completely bare for years, we will tell you honestly that this is not the answer.

Good candidate

  • Early thinning and widening part
  • Hair getting finer, not absent
  • Post-partum or stress shedding
  • Willing to commit to a course

Not yet / not a fit

  • Long-standing complete baldness
  • Certain blood or platelet disorders
  • On blood thinners
  • Untreated thyroid or iron deficiency

How it works

01

Follicles miniaturise before they die

Hairs get progressively finer and shorter over years. Bare scalp is the last stage, not the first.

Growth factors are delivered

Concentrated platelets from your own blood are injected across the thinning area.

Follicles are supported

Blood supply and follicle activity improve, so hairs grow thicker and stay in the growth phase longer.

Questions

Will it regrow hair where I am completely bald?

No. PRP supports follicles that are still alive but struggling. Where the follicle is gone, nothing injected will bring it back — and we will tell you that rather than sell you a package.

Does it hurt?

The scalp is sensitive and this is the least comfortable treatment we offer. It is quick, and we use cooling and work in stages. Most people manage it fine, but we will not pretend it is relaxing.

How soon will I see a difference?

Shedding often slows first, around two to three months. Visible thickening takes three to six. It is a slow treatment and worth knowing that upfront.

Do I need to keep doing it?

Yes, if you want to hold the result. Most patients do four sessions then maintenance every six to twelve months. Stopping means gradually returning to your baseline.

Should I get blood work first?

Often, yes. Thyroid problems, iron deficiency and hormonal causes all present as hair loss and none of them are fixed by PRP. We would rather you rule those out first.
