What it is

Vitamin injections are the shorter, cheaper cousin of an IV drip. A single intramuscular shot, ten minutes, no cannula — useful when you want the absorption benefit without the appointment.

B12 supports energy and neurological function, and is genuinely worth it if you are deficient, vegetarian, or on metformin. B-Complex covers the wider B group. NAD+ is a cofactor involved in cellular energy production, popular for focus and recovery. Glutathione is a potent antioxidant, often chosen for skin brightness.

Where there is a real deficiency, these work well. Where there is not, the effect is subtler than the marketing suggests — and we would rather tell you that than take $60 a week indefinitely.

Good candidate

  • Diagnosed B12 deficiency
  • Vegetarian or vegan diet
  • Want the benefit without a full drip
  • Regular top-up alongside IV therapy

Not yet / not a fit

  • Expecting dramatic transformation
  • Certain kidney conditions
  • Pregnant or nursing — check first
  • Instead of investigating fatigue medically

How it works

Diagram showing limited oral vitamin absorption
01

Oral absorption varies

B12 in particular depends on gut factors many people lack, so tablets often do not deliver.

02

Injected into muscle

An intramuscular shot bypasses the digestive tract entirely for reliable uptake.

03

Absorbed reliably

Levels rise within hours and hold for one to two weeks depending on the nutrient.

Questions

Will B12 give me energy if I am not deficient?

Probably not much. B12 reliably helps people who are actually low — and that is a blood test, not a guess. If you are replete, the effect is modest and we will say so.

What does NAD+ actually do?

It is a cofactor in cellular energy production and DNA repair. Levels decline with age. Patients commonly report improved focus and recovery. The research is genuinely promising but still developing, so treat the bigger claims with caution.

Is glutathione a skin lightener?

It is a strong antioxidant and does inhibit pigment production, which is why it appears in brightening protocols. It is not a bleaching agent and results are gradual and subtle.

How often should I have them?

Weekly is typical for B12 during correction, then monthly. NAD+ and glutathione vary. We will set a schedule rather than leave it open-ended.

Should I get blood work first?

For B12 and persistent fatigue, yes. Fatigue has many causes — thyroid, iron, sleep — and none of them are solved by an injection. We would rather you know what you are treating.
