What it is

Lip filler is hyaluronic acid — a sugar your body already makes — placed in small amounts to restore volume, define the border, and correct asymmetry.

The common fear is looking overfilled. That comes from too much product placed too fast, not from filler itself. Sheyda works conservatively and in stages: better to add at a second visit than to dissolve and start again.

Because it is hyaluronic acid, it is reversible. If you dislike the result, it can be dissolved.

Good candidate

  • Thinning or uneven lips
  • Want definition more than size
  • Vertical lip lines
  • Asymmetry you have always noticed

Not yet / not a fit

  • Active cold sore
  • Pregnant or nursing
  • Wanting a dramatic single-session change
  • Recent dental work — wait two weeks

How it works

Diagram of lip volume loss
01

Volume and border soften

Lips lose hyaluronic acid and structure over time, so the border blurs and the body flattens.

02

Gel is placed in small amounts

Filler is injected into specific points to rebuild shape and edge, not simply to inflate.

Shape returns, not size

Swelling settles over two weeks and the result reads as your lips on a good day.

Questions

Will everyone know I have had it done?

Not if it is done gradually. Most patients start with one syringe or less and build. The tell-tale overfilled look comes from volume placed too quickly, which is exactly what we avoid.

How much swelling should I expect?

Significant for the first 48 hours — lips swell more than any other area. It settles over three to five days. Do not book anything important for a week.

Does it hurt?

Topical numbing is applied first and most fillers contain lidocaine. Most patients describe pressure and discomfort rather than pain.

Can it be reversed?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler is dissolvable with hyaluronidase, from $350. It is one of the reasons we use it.

How long will it last?

Nine to twelve months for most people. Lips metabolise filler faster than other areas because they move constantly.

Prices start at the listed amount and are subject to change. Consultation may be required. Results are not guaranteed, and multiple treatments may be needed.
